As your fleet changes over time, you may have vehicles that are temporarily out of service, sold, or used seasonally. Instead of deleting these trucks from your system, you can deactivate them in Optimus Paper. This keeps your records intact and helps you:
- Stop receiving email and calendar alerts for expired registrations, inspections, or other truck-related documents.
- Ensure that only active vehicles count toward your subscription or compliance tracking.
- Keep all historical data and documents, nothing is deleted when a truck is deactivated.
- Reactivate the truck at any time when it returns to service.
This feature is perfect for leased vehicles, seasonal units, or trucks being serviced or retired.
To change the status of a truck in Optimus Paper:
- Click the menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select “Database”, then click on “Trucks.”
- Use the search bar to find the truck you want to modify.
- Without opening the truck profile, go to the “Status” column.
- Click the current status (“Active” or “Inactive”) and choose the new status from the dropdown.
- The status will update automatically.
Keeping your truck list up to date helps you maintain cleaner records and ensures you're only managing what’s truly in use.
